The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, in a meeting with the European Union Special Representative for the Kosovo-Serbia Dialogue, Peter Sørensen, has called for the removal of the European Union measures, which she called unjust.
She said that the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo are being affected the most.
As announced in a press release, within the framework of the discussion, the process of constituting the Assembly and other institutions was also addressed, as well as the importance of these institutions functioning democratically to advance common objectives.
The statement explains that Osmani also addressed the issue of arbitrary arrests of Kosovo citizens by Serbia, requesting the engagement of the international community so that Serbia can stop these illegal actions against Kosovo citizens.
"Osmani emphasized that Kosovo remains committed to its European path and fundamentally oriented towards democratic reforms, which should be rewarded with concrete steps by the European Union. Furthermore, President Osmani underlined the importance of Kosovo's integration into international organizations, with particular emphasis on the Council of Europe, as well as other important organizations," the statement said.
Regarding the Dialogue, Osmani is said to have emphasized the importance of a fair and impartial process, setting clear objectives, which would also contribute to advancing peace, stability and the European perspective of the region as a whole.
