President Vjosa Osmani held a farewell meeting with the commander of KFOR, Major General Oezkan Ulutash, on Thursday.
The Office of the President has announced that during the meeting, Osmani expressed gratitude for the dedication of General Ulutash in the function of peace and security for the citizens.
"President Osmani appreciated the continuous contribution of KFOR to peace and stability in Kosovo, stressing that the presence of this mission is key to peace and stability. Furthermore, President Osmani reconfirmed Kosovo's commitment to close cooperation with KFOR", the communiqué states.
General Ulutash will be in charge of the NATO mission in Kosovo until October 11.
