Osmani on the Meja Massacre: Every missing person is our oath for justice

Massacre of Meja

President Vjosa Osmani has commemorated the Meja Massacre as one of Kosovo's deepest wounds.

Regarding this event that occurred 26 years ago, Osmani said that every person forcibly disappeared during the war is an oath for justice.

"Today, with a heavy heart, we remember the Meja Massacre, one of Kosovo's deepest wounds. 376 innocent lives were cruelly taken by the genocidal regime of Serbia, just because they were Albanians. The wounds left behind by this tragedy are still open, but our pain and determination have united to not allow the truth to be forgotten. Every person killed and every person disappeared by force during the war, every dream violently interrupted, is our oath for justice," she said.

She added that hope remains alive for a future with more justice.
