Former President Vjosa Osmani, who was also the bearer of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) list in the June 7 elections, and a presidential candidate, said that they held several meetings at the LDK offices.

As he left the offices of the party that received over 16 percent of the votes in the elections, Osmani said that he not only met with the party's leader Lumir Abdixhiku, but that they also had other meetings.

She said that no signatures have been deposited for Abdixhiku's dismissal.

"We have discussed how to move forward even more strongly. No signatures have been deposited so far," Osmani said.

Since Wednesday, a group of delegates of the Assembly of the Democratic League of Kosovo has begun collecting signatures to call an extraordinary meeting, in which the aim is to put on the agenda the request for the dismissal of the chairman Lumir Abdixhiku.

As KOHA learns, the signatures of one-third of the Assembly delegates are needed to call the meeting, while the request for the dismissal of the speaker can then be put to a vote. KOHA sources have announced that by Sunday, 118 of the necessary signatures out of a total of 355 delegates had not been obtained.
