Osmani in Prague for the first Summit of the European Political Community

At the invitation of the President of the European Council, Charles Michel and the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, Petr Fiala, President Vjosa Osmani has traveled to Prague where she will represent Kosovo at the first summit of the European Political Community (EPC).

This inaugural meeting will bring together heads of state from 44 countries on the European continent with the aim of fostering political dialogue and strengthening cooperation to address the most pressing issues of security and stability in Europe.

In addition to participating in the main sessions of the European Political Community, Osmani will hold bilateral meetings with European leaders to discuss the deepening of cooperation to overcome common challenges.

It is announced by the Presidency that, "to the European leaders, Osmani will convey the message of the unwavering commitment of the people and institutions of the Republic of Kosovo to the Euro-Atlantic integration of Kosovo as a guarantee for stable peace in the region and beyond. During the bilateral meetings, Osmani will also discuss the support for Kosovo's membership in international organizations".

The European Political Community is a platform for political coordination created on the basis of the proposal of the French president, Emmanuel Macron, and in which the leaders of the 27 member states of the European Union (EU) and the leaders of 17 other European countries will join.

This initiative aims to promote dialogue and cooperation on issues of common interest, strengthening security, stability and prosperity on the European continent.
