President Vjosa Osmani stated that Kosovo and the people still have fresh memories of the war, while comparing this to the war that is taking place in Ukraine.
Speaking about women, Osmani said that when half of humanity is excluded from the generation of ideas and decisions, the opportunity for a society and democracy with transformative potential is lost.
"Kosovo and our people still have fresh memories of the war and today our hearts beat hard in front of the television screens and phones while we see the images coming from different cities and countries of Ukraine", she declared in the Women's Week.
According to Osmani, the status of women in society shows the status of democracy, citing the vice president of the USA, Kamala Harris.
"Only an inclusive democracy is a sustainable democracy".
