The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, received the US Ambassador to Kosovo, Jeffrtey Hovenier, in a meeting, where the topic was the recent developments in the north.
As he announced The presidency in the meeting we discussed the next steps for the extension of the situation and the need for coordination with partners.
Osmani thanked the USA for being clear about the release of three Kosovar policemen, who were kidnapped inside the territory of Kosovo. Osmani reiterated the importance of the immediate release of the three Kosovar policemen.
"Today, the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, received the United States ambassador, Jeffrey Hovenier, in a regular meeting, with whom she talked about the latest developments, with a special focus on developments in the field of security in the north of the country. On this occasion, President Osmani reiterated the importance of the immediate and unconditional release of the Kosovo policemen who were kidnapped by Serbia within the territory of Kosovo. She also expressed gratitude for the clear position of the US regarding the release of the policemen. The meeting also discussed the next steps to escalate the situation and the need for coordination with partners, knowing that both our institutions and the US share the same goal for a Kosovo integrated into the Euro-Atlantic structures and with inviolable sovereignty and territorial integrity ", it is stated in the announcement of the Presidency.
