President Vjosa Osmani has presented to the new president of the European Council, Antonio Costa, the evidence of Serbia's connections with the terrorist attack in the Ibër-Lepenci canal in Zubin-Potok.
As it is known in a press release of the Presidency of Kosovo, Osmani and Costa met in Brussels on the eve of the EU-Western Balkans Summit. According to Osman, the release of the terrorist Milan Radoicic in Serbia is evidence that the Serbian state is not ready for responsibility and accountability for acts of aggression against Kosovo.
"She presented to President Costa the evidence of Serbia's connections with this attack, as well as with the attack of September last year, which was an act of aggression against Kosovo. She added that the chief terrorist who had carried out official Belgrade's orders for attacks on Kosovo, i.e. Radojqic, is still at large and this proves Serbia's lack of readiness for responsibility and accountability for the acts of aggression against Kosovo", the announcement of the Presidency states.
Osmani has said that Kosovo is ready to cooperate with internationals for the investigation of the terrorist act. He thanked the partners for their solidarity and help, and said that it is important to focus on preventing new attacks.
The president has also requested the removal of measures against Kosovo.
On November 29, in the evening, the Ibër-Lepenci water channel was attacked with explosives in the village of Varragë in Zubin-Potoku. The canal that supplies a significant part of the cities with water, also sends water for the cooling of KEK thermal power plants.
The attack was considered terrorist by Kosovo and international authorities.
For the case, several people were arrested in the north, while an arsenal of weapons, uniforms and explosives were also confiscated.
