The Kosovo Security Force (KSF) has announced that lieutenants Shpëtim Hasani, Labinot Osaj and Arian Karaxha have successfully completed the basic field artillery leadership course in the United States of America (USA).
In the announcement of the KSF, it is stated that the training aims to prepare soldiers for "artillery platoon leaders, fire support officers and fire control officers.
“As artillery platoon leaders participants gain practical knowledge of the US M777 (155mm), M109 (155mm), and M119 (105mm) howitzer. In the fire support module, soldiers are prepared for the specifics of howitzers, fire support planning and calling, fire observation as well as the types of support provided by field artillery as well as in the field of the fire control center are trained in the calculation and factors of different factors that affect a more precise shooting", the announcement states.
Due to the successes shown in the training, sub-lieutenant Arian Karaxha is said to have received the "Distinguished International Honor Graduate" award.
