The Kosovo Chamber of Commerce has called for urgent action by Kosovo institutions to include the country in regional natural gas projects, describing this as necessary for the country's energy security and economic development.
The KCC announcement states that refusal or non-engagement in American gas projects could negatively impact the strategic partnership with the United States of America, as well as Kosovo's positioning in regional energy developments.
"Western Balkan countries are advancing rapidly in the development of gas infrastructure and connections to alternative sources of supply, including internationally supported LNG projects. Kosovo's absence from these initiatives places the country at an economic disadvantage and limits opportunities for new strategic investments," the announcement states.
This chamber has called on institutions to intensify dialogue with regional and international partners to ensure Kosovo's active involvement in future energy projects.
