Obiliqi promises to buy a mammogram for early detection of cancer

The municipal officials of Obiliq, health professionals and women of this municipality, paraded on Wednesday, through the "Dëşmorët e Kombit" square as a sign of breast cancer awareness.

In an announcement from the Information Office of this municipality, it is said that donors have provided 20 prostheses for women affected by this disease.

"Mayor Xhafer Gashi, in his speech, promised that the efforts of the municipal institution will be continuous in the advancement of health services, with special emphasis on cancer and its types. Based on the cooperation agreement and thanks to donors from Sweden, more than 20 women with breast cancer prostheses have benefited so far. During this month, the acceptance of a considerable number of these prostheses is expected, as well as the purchase of the mammography machine is expected very soon", the announcement of the municipality states.
