The economic crimes investigator, Idriz Gashi, has returned to his duties after it was confirmed that he did not participate in the electoral rally, his lawyer, Arianit Koci, announced.
Gashi was among three police officials suspended on January 8 for allegedly attending pre-election rallies of political parties.
"Police investigator Idriz Gashi has not participated in any electoral rally. As a result, as I predicted, Sergeant Gashi returns to his police duties", lawyer Koci wrote on Facebook.
Police Major, Isak Ejupi, appeared at a pre-election rally of the Democratic League of Kosovo, gave a speech, based on a Facebook post of the LDK.
Nexhmi Krasniqi, colonel of the Border Police, and Gashi were suspected of participating in PDK rallies. Krasniqi had said that he would complain about the suspension and that he would present evidence in his favor.
The Police Inspectorate has called on the members of the Police to stay away from political activities.
