Tirana, May 28 - Air Force technicians have started training in the framework of receiving new "Black Hawk" helicopters from the United States of America.
According to the Minister of Defense, Olta Xhaçka, "Air Force technicians started training from their American colleagues for the new Black Hawk helicopters."
"After them, it's the pilots' turn and together they will be fully operational in terms of search-rescue operations, training, transport, but also their maintenance", announced Minister Xhaçka.
On April 21, 3 "Black Hawk Uh-60" helicopters arrived in our country.
A few days before April 21, Defense Minister Olta Xhaçka traveled to the United States of America, where, apart from the meeting with Acting Secretary of Defense Patric Shanahan, she returned from there with three "Black Hawk Uh-60" helicopters.
The Uh-60 model began to be produced for the first time in 1974 and 5 years later, it began to be used, first by the United States Army, and then several countries adopted this helicopter model in their fleets. With the 3 new Black Hawk helicopters, the number of aircraft available to the Albanian army/ATSH goes up to 30.
