The house on "Rruga A" in Pristina, which, according to authorities, posed a high risk of collapse, was demolished on Thursday. The family that lived there has said that from now on they will let justice decide.
The demolition was scheduled to take place on Tuesday, but was postponed after the building's owner, Faruk Maxhuni, refused to leave the house.

Maxhuni and his wife have consistently opposed the decision to demolish the building, stating that they had previously notified the Police and the Inspectorate of the Municipality of Pristina that the construction of new buildings in this neighborhood was endangering the stability of their home. They have requested compensation before the demolition.
During the demolition, Faruk's wife, Shqipe Berisha-Maxhuni, said in a statement to the media that what is happening is a great injustice, while expressing her faith in justice.
"I have been raising my voice for a year. Everyone knows the truth about me. What is happening today is a great injustice. The right to housing is guaranteed by law and the Constitution. Today, this right was violated. From this moment on, I leave it in the hands of justice. I trust justice," she said.
The mayor of Pristina, Përparim Rama, reacted to this issue a day ago, saying that the building was built without a permit and was located on municipal property.

Rama: The house on Street A was built without a permit and on municipal property
According to Rama, the families living in the buildings in this area were evacuated two years ago due to works on "Road A" and the risk of landslides.
"Although these buildings were built without permission on municipal property, the Capital has paid and continues to pay the rental costs for the evacuated families. We ask the person in question not to risk his life and that of our teams by entering this area, which remains dangerous due to the works and is municipal property. I agree with those who say that property is sacred. Such is this property, which is owned by the Municipality and deserves the same respect and protection according to the law," Rama declared.
The house was damaged after construction work for the opening of "Road A".
