This is not just a request by the prosecution; this is the only request to restore faith in the law and to give some peace to the souls of the victims," the prosecution said.

According to the indictment of the Basic Prosecution Office in Peja, the defendants Kastriot and Kreshnik Mehmetaj, that on November 26, 2021, at around 18:58 p.m. in the village of Gllogjan, Municipality of Deçan, precisely on the "Ismajl Haradinaj" street, driven by unscrupulous revenge, in agreement and cooperation with each other, deprived three people of their lives, two of whom were children.
In the indictment it is stated that, after they had studied the terrain carefully in advance, making sure that there is no coverage of cameras and houses nearby and knowing the exact time of arrival of the "Erblini" bus, from Gjakova in the direction of Gllogjani in the last shift, which was now led by the late G., with students and passengers on board.
According to the indictment, the defendant Kastriot takes the AK-47 automatic rifle, Albanian production, caliber 7.62x39mm and sets off on foot to the scene of the incident, on the right side of the road and upon noticing the lights of the bus in question, he stands in the middle of the road with his back to the approaching bus and in order to force the same to slow down or stop, he pretends to be drunk and when the driver initially signals him with high beams and then slows down, the defendant Kastriot at a distance of about 6 meters turns in the direction of the bus and takes aim at the bus driver, now deceased G.Gj. and shoots him to death, he also shoots to death LH, 17 years old, and GM, 17 years old, and causes serious bodily injuries to FT.
It is further said that the defendant Kastriot endangered the lives of other passengers: BH, AB, AZ, BM, and EO, who were present on the bus at that moment, and then the same one passes from the left side of the bus, which had left the road, and continued to the village of Shaptej, where in the middle of the road the defendant Kreshnik was waiting for him by car and took the way back home without being investigated, and then they destroyed the weapon.
It is further stated in the indictment that this murder came as revenge for HM's suicide which happened on June 14, 2020, for which the Mehmetaj family has now blamed the deceased G.Gj.
For this, they are charged with the criminal offense of "Aggravated Murder".
The defendant Halil Mehmetaj, from June 14, 2020, until November 26, 2021, in the village of Gllogjan, Deçan Municipality, on "Ismajl Haradinaj" street, has pushed the defendants Kastriot and Kreshnik Mehmetaj, in the murder of the now deceased G.Gj., whom he blamed in front of them as the cause of the suicide of his daughter HM, where it is further said that he had sworn revenge, and on the occasion of the deceased's burial ceremony, he placed his wristwatch in her coffin.
