Concerns have been raised about the violation of children's safety by people who were allegedly seen driving around the courtyards of educational institutions in Pristina with a vehicle.
The shyness of this was expressed after the publication of an internal conversation of the management of the "Emin Duraku" school. Director Visar Osmani is heard calling for vigilance.
"Colleagues, please inform the students in your classes that if they see a black BMW car with license plate 04 (advertising car) they lure the children with chocolates, if the children see them on the street near the school to inform you to you!", says the message of director Osmani.
However, the school said that there is no concrete evidence that the people in the car contacted any of the students.
"Information has been received unofficially from some parents, but so far we do not have any concrete evidence that the mentioned vehicle has stopped or contacted any student of our school. The notice is misunderstood. Our aim was to provide preventive care advice, highlighting the importance of children being careful outside of school premises. We did not intend to create concerns or panic, but only to inform about the care that should be shown", says the response of the directorate of the "Emin Duraku" SHFMU in Prishtina.
Such a claim was also raised in the "Hasan Prishtina" school. Some parents complained in their social media groups that a vehicle with people dressed as mascots tried to lure students with promises of sending them to a playground.
The President of the Council of Parents of Pristina, Nexhmi Hoxha, said that there were also concerns in other schools of the capital.
"The Kosovo Police and the Directorate for Security and Emergency in Pristina have increased the measures, they have taken measures, they have increased the number of policemen and civilian policemen. The field has been observed for several days and they have not found such a phenomenon, we came to the conclusion at that time that it was misinformation that raises concerns, normally we as parents always worry about our children, even if it is misinformation", he said. Hoxha.
The police did not respond to the questions regarding the concerns raised by the parents.
Security in educational institutions is often rated as poor. According to an OSCE report, about 23.5 percent of students in Pristina have declared that they do not feel so safe in schools.
