School technical workers in the Municipality of Pristina protested today due to the non-payment of salaries for the month of April, and have announced they will go on strike starting tomorrow.
According to the announcement of the Trade Union Federation of Technical Workers of the Private Sector of Kosovo (FSPTSPK), the majority of technical workers of schools managed by private companies held a protest today, May 18, 2026, from 11:00 to 12:00.

"The workers will go on strike until their demands regarding delayed payments are met," the announcement states.
The reaction also notes that at the SHFMU "Asim Vokshi" school, the directorate did not allow workers to speak to the media during the protest, KosovaPress reports.
