The four activists of the Vetëvendosje Movement, Frashër Krasniqi, Atdhe Arifi, Egzon Haliti and Adea Batusha, were sentenced today to 21 years and 5 months in prison.
This decision, the Vetëvendosje Movement, the families of the convicts and other activists say that it is "political".
The mother of the activist sentenced to 6 years, Atdhe Arifit, said that justice was violated in this case. He said that in order to justify the murder of activist Astrit Dehar, her son and 3 others were sentenced.
But when he is in prison, instead of her son Atdheut, she will go to the demonstrations herself, she said.
"I vouch for my son. Justice has been trampled to the ground here. We don't have to stop here. They did this because of Astrit, on the grounds of his murder. I have gone to the Motherland in demonstrations. He did not leave the country dry in the demonstrations. I educated him under the most difficult conditions, to find me a job and today he is condemned by Albanian speakers without any facts. We will not stand like this. We will demand justice. "Egzoni is not alone, Frashëri is not alone, Atdheu is not alone, Adea is not alone," she said.
