The Clinical and University Center of Kosovo has announced that the Medically Assisted Fertilization (IVF) project is being implemented according to plan, but is divided into several phases.
A Facebook announcement by SHSKUK states that there has been great interest and that so far around 300 couples have completed the consultations, and that the treatment of the first cases is expected to begin in February.
"Due to the great interest, initially the selection and classification of cases is carried out, where so far about 300 couples have completed consultations. During February, according to the action plan, it is expected to begin with ovarian stimulation in the first cases, and in the next phase the first IVF applications will begin," the announcement states.
In November, the Minister of Health, Arben Vitia, announced that the provision of IVF services at UCCK would begin - implementing the Administrative Instruction of former Minister Ferid Agani, pending the approval of the new law proposed by the Government.
