On the occasion of December 30 - Veterans' Day and the first attack on the Jashari family, tributes were paid today in Prekaz at the "Adem Jashari" memorial complex.
The Mayor of Skenderaj Municipality, Bekim Jashari together with a group of veterans paid tribute to the grave of the legendary commander Adem Jashari and other members of his family.
Together, they honored the Jashari family for their hard work, sacrifice and fight against the Serbian occupier.
Jashari said that December 30, 28 years ago, was a cold day, which was characterized by the large participation of Serbian forces in the attack against the Jashari family.
The chairman of the OVL of the KLA, Hysni Gucati, said that on this day 28 years ago, the first attack was made against the Jashari family and the first attack against members of the KLA. He said that the first sparks of freedom are in this country.
