The Kosovo Energy Corporation (KEK) announces that due to a signal of defects in the cooling tower fans, it is forced to stop the A4 unit of the Kosovo A (TCA) Power Plant. It stopped around midnight.
According to KEK, this stoppage is being made in order to prevent a larger defect and to enable the earliest possible treatment of the problem.
"Our business partners have been notified in time about this outage, and the capacity of this unit is not scheduled for production during the next day. The Kosovo A Power Plant teams are on full alert and will take all necessary actions to identify and repair the defect, as soon as the technical conditions are created. Our objective remains to return the unit to operation as soon as possible," the announcement says.
