Murati: Of the 43 million expropriations, only one person would receive 4.9 million euros

For several days, reactions between the Government and the party of Ramush Haradinaj have raised the issue of expropriations for the construction of the national road Pristina-Peja, namely the segment Kijevë-Klinë-Zahaq. The Minister of Finance, Hekuran Murati, said in a conference that there is a discrepancy in the figures of 12 million euros in these expropriations and that the state budget was misused, in the total of 43 million euros that were estimated for the expropriation process. However, this was not accepted by AAK, which was in power at the time when the expropriations started.

Murat reacted on this topic even today. He wrote on Facebook about the discrepancy in land prices.

"The land that KTA/AKP had privatized for 6 euros/gold, in the evaluation tables submitted on May 17 to MESP, was valued at 3,700 euros/gold, that is, about 600 times the purchase price. But as if this was not enough, the Haradinaj Government made a decision on December 17, 2019, to expropriate the same land for 7,500 euros/gold, i.e. 1,200 times (in other words: one thousand and two hundred times the price of privatization)". Murat said.

According to him, with such a calculation from the total value of 43 million determined by the Haradinaj Government at that time, "a single person would receive 4.9 million euros, if the misuse went all the way".

Meanwhile, he adds that there are enough facts, only that the Prosecution and law enforcement agencies must act.

AAK said a few days ago that the denunciations made to them are noise and public propaganda.

The Minister of Infrastructure, Liburn Aliu, on the other hand, has warned that "this is only the beginning of the denunciation of expropriation abuses".
