The leader of the Social Democratic Party, Dardan Molliqaj, has said that this Kosovo government, led by the Vetëvendosje Movement, bears historical responsibility in relation to the Special Court as much as the MPs who voted for its establishment.
Molliqaj, on the show "Konfront" on KTV, said that no steps have been taken by this Government, at least to monitor whether the human rights of the KLA four are being respected.
He also said that health services there were also provided with delays, while specifying that, as Molliqaj said, an arrestee lost all his teeth from infection precisely because of this delay.
"Self-determination bears historical responsibility as much as those who voted for it. No international organization has contracted through the Assembly to at least monitor human rights. They have received health services there late. Do you know that one of the detainees when I went there lost all his teeth from infections. That doesn't happen here in Kosovo's prisons," said Molliqaj.
Molliqaj also said that the Kosovo Government has morally and publicly persecuted the defendants in The Hague by publishing the travel expenses of their family members.
"To reduce, as the Kosovo Government does, that you were guilty and wants to amnesty yourself, that for these six years if there has been legal persecution, similar human rights violations in The Hague, there has been moral and public persecution by the Kosovo Government against the accused in The Hague. The publication of the expenses that were laws approved in the Kosovo Assembly, has been a denigrating campaign against those in The Hague," said Molliqaj.
The PSD leader has stated that the Specialized Chambers were not created for Albanians but for the Kosovo Liberation Army, and this is explained by the fact that its leaders are being tried there.
"The problem is essentially at the starting point. The Special Court or the Specialized Chambers were not made for Albanians but for the KLA exclusively. So, the subjects of investigation and persecution are the people who were in the KLA structures, from the top, which is Hashim Thaçi, down to the bottom. In such cases in Europe, I only know of the trial against Nazism. This is a major historical problem. What has happened to Kosovo is unacceptable to me from the start," Molliqaj said in "Konfront".
