Molliqaj: We are racing to cross the threshold

The leader of the Social Democratic Party, Dardan Molliqaj, has said that in the June 7 parliamentary elections, they are competing to cross the threshold and occupy seats in the opposition. 

After the PSD's symbolic action in front of the Kosovo Assembly, where former President Vjosa Osmani was presented as a Trojan horse, Molliqaj said that the opposition is not offering an alternative to citizens, but is only aiming for more power and positions in the next government.

"We are competing for a battle, for causes in the Assembly. We must also be honest with the people. We are idealists, activists, but we are not arrogant or naive like others. We are competing to cross the threshold, the citizen can vote for us even more. Our competition is this, it is honest... The opposition parties are going to these elections with a very simple goal, but very useless for the citizens. They are competing for a few more deputies to have a little more share in the next government. The return, which was trumpeted with great fanfare, of Vjosa Osmani to the LDK has two very big problems; first, it is a big deception in the public, because Vjosa Osmani has not returned to the LDK at all. Vjosa Osmani is using it as a springboard for potentially some future position in the institutions of Kosovo, as was clearly learned, she is not a member of the LDK, she took a group of 20 people, she is sending them to "I am reusing the LDK list and the LDK once again," he said. 

Molliqaj added that Osmani has humiliated the LDK and is returning with symbolism like the Trojan Horse.

"And Kosovo does not have the luxury, Kosovo does not dare and should not re-elect people who have plans for their own positions. They are not even for the parties, nor for the parties they are going to, they have abused them, humiliated them and are returning with exactly the same symbolism as the Trojan horse, and you know what happened to Troy when the horse was let in," he said.
