The Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation (MINTI) has requested economic operators dealing with dairy products to clearly present their specifications to the market, based on the law.
MINTI has requested that the product declaration in the official language, which is placed on the packaging, clearly and legibly present specifications such as: Animal-based (100%), plant-based, and powdered milk-based.
Retailers have also been asked to ensure clear separation and presentation of products on shelves, according to categories: dairy-based, plant-based, and powdered milk products.
"The Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation, through the Central Inspectorate of Market Surveillance, will intensify inspection activities in the coming days, in accordance with the legal powers for market surveillance, with the aim of protecting consumers and preventing fraudulent practices. In case of non-implementation of the legislation in force on the physical separation and labeling of products, economic operators will be punished according to the provisions of the law in force", MINTI announced.
