The repeal of the administrative instruction that defines the conditions and procedures for the homologation of road vehicles has been requested through the resolution of the Assembly of Kosovo, approved two weeks ago, Koha Ditore writes today.
The US ambassador to Kosovo, Philip Kosnett, and the head of the EU Office, Nataliya Apostolova, have called on the Government to end the monopoly in homologation.
But despite this broad anti-monopoly front, as well as the assessment that the free market and competition are being violated, the Ministry of Infrastructure has not yet made a decision whether to keep the administrative instruction in force, or to respond positively to the requests for his change.
The Administrative Instruction in force enables the "EuroLab" company to perform this service alone in Kosovo for the next 10 years. (you can find the full article in today's issue of "Koha Ditore")
