Ministrja e Drejtësisë, Donika Gërvalla, ka bërë të ditur se Ligjin për Byronë për Konfiskimin e Pasurisë së Pajustifikueshme e ka proceduar në Zyrën e Kryeministrit. Ajo ka deklaruar se nuk ka rrugë tjetër, përveç jetësimit të këtij ligji.
The Law on the Bureau for Verification and Confiscation of Unjustified Assets was passed in April, after the previous version was struck down by the Constitutional Court. In presenting the Draft Law to the Government, Gërvalla said that they had taken into account the Constitutional Court's observations.
Prime Minister Albin Kurti has described this draft law as one of the priorities of the executive.
The Constitutional Court of Kosovo had twice overturned the Kurti Government's Law on the Verification and Confiscation of Unjustified Assets, first in 2024 and then at the beginning of this year.
This law aims to make all public officials in Kosovo subject to asset verification if there are suspicions that it was acquired illegally.

According to her, the Assembly unjustifiably used the deviation from procedural deadlines, not giving deputies and committees time for review, debate and amendments, in violation of Articles 74, 76 and 77 of the Constitution.
