(Updated: 13:37) - Flotation miners in Kishnica announced that their March salaries have been paid, but they are in discussions with the workers about whether they will end the strike.
One of the employees told KHOHA that they are considering calling off the strike because "other demands have not been met."
The Trepça company has announced that salaries have not been paid due to budgetary and enforcement problems.
"Today, we have managed to finalize these payments as well. The salaries for the Artana miners and security personnel were paid earlier. The financial means were secured from the export carried out on 18.04.2025 by the unit in Stan Tërg, and were used to cover the salaries of the unit in Kishnica. At this moment, the salaries for the Flotation have been executed in full," the announcement made on Facebook states.
The miners announced that they organized the strike due to delays in March salaries, wage leveling, job regeneration, working conditions and safety, and the non-execution of funds in the Pension Trust.

Kishnica miners on strike, without March salaries
Miners at the Kishnica Flotation Plant have gone on strike due to non-payment of salaries.
Through this strike, they are demanding wage leveling, non-delayed payments, the re-generation of jobs, and improved working conditions.
Valdete Osmani, one of the many employees of this business unit, said that due to the lack of payment, continuing work for the workers has become almost impossible.
"This is the first time that the Kishnica unit has been discriminated against by not receiving salaries, just like other units of 'Trepça', and this is done by the management of the 'Trepça' enterprise, who continue to discriminate against us by not receiving salaries, like workers in other units. We have talked about when the salaries will be paid and there is no response from the management about the non-payment of salaries," she said.
Due to the problem, miners have in some cases refused to work.
And in the "Trepça" enterprise, which manages the business unit in Kishnica, they have justified the non-execution of salaries by blocking bank accounts.
