Tirana, November 5 - The President of the Republic, Ilir Meta, hosted the Mayor of Bujanoci Municipality, Nagip Arifi, in a meeting.
President Meta appreciated the role of Albanian political parties in the Presheva Valley and congratulated all Albanians there for the result achieved in the last general elections in Serbia, winning three deputies.
President Meta expressed special interest and attention to the state of health of the citizens of the Valley in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic.
President Meta emphasized the fact that the Albanian state has always demanded that the treatment of the Albanians of Presheva, Bujanovac and Medvegja be in accordance with the most advanced international and democratic standards for minorities, considering them as bridges between our peoples.
"The complete integration of Albanians at all levels of the central administration, but also at the local level, as well as the respect of their rights, has a positive effect on the relations between Albania and Serbia," said Meta.
