Objections to the education reform in the Municipality of Kamenica continue.
Against the reform in education in this municipality, before the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MAShT), teachers, students and parents from the "Hasan Prishtina" elementary school, in Busavata, Kamenica, have protested, EO reports.
The students of this school held placards with which they addressed the Minister of Education, Hykmete Bajrami, the Speaker of the Assembly Vjosa Osmani and the Prime Minister Albin Kurti.
"Vjos e Albin, we are suffering", "We want our books", he wrote on some of the banners held by the students of this school.
The director of the "Hasan Prishtina" school in Busavata, Abedin Maliqi, has called on MEST to stop the reform undertaken by the mayor Qendron Kastrati. He ordered Kastrati to withdraw from the reform.
Meanwhile, Feim Maliqi from the Parents' Council said that the Busavata school, which has 104 students, is being closed as a result of this reform.
However, the Municipality of Kamenica has pledged that it will not give up on the reform. The reform in Kamenica has been divided into two phases.
The first phase was applied in the first half of this school year and included the villages of Krilevë, Busavatë, Strezoc and Tuxhec.
Meanwhile, the second phase, which has been suspended, included the villages of Koretin, Topanicë and Petroc.
