Otherwise, the report of the Kosovo Institute of Forensic Psychiatry has concluded that Naim Murseli, accused of the murder of Liridona Ademaj, did not have mental disorders or illnesses at the time of committing the criminal offense. Also in the session of September 22, 2025, experts Shpend Haxhibeqiri and Bujar Obërtinca, concluded that the accused Murseli and Plava do not have mental disorders.
In the initial hearing held on January 31, 2025, Naim Murseli pleaded not guilty to the murder of his wife Liridona Ademaj, Granit Plava did not plead guilty, and Kushtrim Kokalla said that he would not plead guilty without consulting the defense. Meanwhile, the defendant Tom Dodaj pleaded guilty. The latter, after pleading guilty, was sentenced by the Basic Court to 5 years in prison and a fine of 5 thousand euros.
However, the Court of Appeal, with its decision of December 10, 2025, changed the decision of the Basic Court, sentencing Dodaj to 3 years in prison and a 3 thousand euro fine for selling the weapon.
Otherwise, the Basic Prosecution Office in Pristina on January 15, 2025 filed an indictment against Naim Murseli, Granit Plavë, Kushtrim Kokalla and Tom Dodajt.
According to the indictment provided by "Betimi për Drejtësi", Murseli, Plava and Kokalla had previously agreed that the murder would be carried out by the accused Plava with an agreement that Murseli would pay him 30 thousand euros. The entire plan for the murder of Liridona was allegedly made by her husband, now the accused Naim Murseli, as a result of the disorder of family and marital relations, which gave rise to his desire for revenge.
The indictment states that initially the plan was revealed to Kokalla by Murseli, but he refused to find an opportunity to kill Liridona, and then Kokalla found Plava, with whom he had introduced Naim. Naim Murseli himself is said to have obtained the gun with 20 cartridges from the accused Tom Dodaj, from whom he bought it for 280 euros. With this gun, the murder of the now deceased was committed.
