The leader of the LDK, Lumir Abdixhiku, said that they have reached an agreement to run together with Vjosa Osmani in the June 7 elections.

"By voting in this body (the Chairman), we agreed to convene the LDK General Council this Saturday to finalize all issues for the preparatory part. The big unification that we are committed to was also the point, I informed the Chairmanship and the branch heads about the process. We voted and agreed to formalize from now on, in cooperation with Vjosa Osmani, the joint competition in the upcoming elections," he said.

"Our cooperation is with a joint list within the LDK. There are no other parties within the LDK list, we can have small coalitions with other parties, now we are talking about cooperation within the LDK," Abdixhiku added, while asking the media for a few days to "finalize discussions with Osmani to conclude with a formal vote in the Council."

Abdixhiku has denied reports that Osmani has previously set conditions for cooperation.

"We have not had any conditions with Vjosa. It is not a relationship of conditions, it is a relationship of understanding the need for everyone within the LDK to unite, and this means that we build relationships based on trust," he said.

Asked if Osmani will be the bearer of the LDK list, Abdixhiku said that he has no problem with her being the bearer, although he added that he sees her as the "right" candidate for president.

"Without any problem. I believe that Vjosa Osmani should be the excellent and most suitable candidate for president. The people want such a thing and I am ready to provide the people with such a candidacy. The ranking on the list does not matter."
