Albanian youths in Macedonia are still not seen in good eyes to be in the ranks of special military and police units, informs the INA news agency.
This problem continues to be silent even by international representatives, who support through various projects the training and technical and logistical reinforcements of these units of the Macedonian Army (ARM) and the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).
ARM units: "Wolves" (Volci) do not have any Albanians, "Rangers" units have one or two Albanians, "Scorpion" units also have or do not have Albanians, because the data are very discreet and are not made public by these security structures.
Even in the part of the police units, starting from the "Tigers" unit or known as ESZ, there are also no Albanians and this is one of the elite police forces.
There are some Albanian members present in the EBR (For Rapid Distribution) unit, and according to their assertions, they are still small in number and do not carry weight, because only Macedonians are in commanding positions.
Some time ago, the media brought the story of an Albanian candidate from the ranks of the ARM who was overthrown several times, with the aim of not accepting him.
The special units of the ARM were formed around 1993-1994, while those of the MIA a few years later. The lack of trust and constant ignorance has left out the young Albanians, who do not hesitate to be part of these elite formations, but with a completely different spirit.
