The elected MP of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Jehona Lushaku-Sadriu, has said that her party's request in relation to negotiations with the Vetëvendosje Movement is to have the post of president.
Lushaku-Sadriu spoke before the meeting of the LDK Parliamentary Group one day before the constitutive session of the Assembly.
"LDK has always said that the main institutions should be balanced. Even in this sense, our request is that the presidency belong to LDK and power be divided proportionally," said Lushaku-Sadriu.
Asked whether there will be another meeting today between LDK leader Lumir Abdixhiku and acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti, she said she was unaware.
A day ago, Abdixhiku, after a three-hour meeting with Kurti, declared that they are not interested in the position of Speaker of the Parliament.
