The Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo and co-chairman of the State Delegation for Talks with Serbia, Fatmir Limaj, said that with the approval of the Platform for Dialogue with Serbia, Kosovo demonstrated "seriousness and readiness for dialogue to reach an agreement that would close the open issues between our two countries, giving opportunities and opportunities to our countries to realize the strategic interests of integration.
He believes that Serbia must recognize the reality of the problem and understand that the only acceptable solution is mutual recognition.
In an interview for the Serbian news agency Beta, Limaj said that it is in Serbia's interest to recognize Kosovo.
Regarding the tax, he said that Serbia cannot have the market of Kosovo at its disposal as long as it tries to dismantle our country from morning to night.
The number two of the Government of Kosovo has also spoken about the creation of a court which would investigate the crimes of Serbia committed in Kosovo. This court, according to him, is necessary since Serbia and the Serbian president Vučić deny the massacres in Kosovo, such as the case of the massacre of Recak. Limaj said that the platform envisages the creation of a special court to investigate crimes committed by Serbia in Kosovo.

Limaj: The time has come to remove the tax on Serbia
"Now we are in a time where almost every day marks the anniversary of the massacres committed by the Serbs in Kosovo," he said.
The court, said Limaj, is necessary because the representatives of Serbia "refuse to recognize the massacres that have been committed, as well as President Aleksandar Vučić, who a month ago denied the massacre of Recak.
"The platform is based on our constitutional documents in which our state was built. The platform derives from the Constitution of Kosovo, from the Declaration of Independence of Kosovo, the Ahtisiari package as well as the decision of the International Court of Justice. And this was not unexpected something that could surprise Serbia", added Limaj.
Furthermore, the Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo says that the Delegation of the State of Kosovo is the only mechanism that has the mandate of the Assembly of Kosovo to discuss a possible dialogue with Serbia and no one else, and emphasizes that he expects "that everyone will respect the decision of Assembly of Kosovo."
Limaj has said that he understands the difficulties that Serbia has regarding the subject of recognizing Kosovo, however he says that it must decide whether it will live in the past or the future.

Limaj says that without recognition of Kosovo, dialogue with Serbia has no meaning
According to Limaj, it is in the interest of Serbia to recognize the reality and recognize the independence of Kosovo in order to start building relations as two neighboring countries.
He said that the realization of reciprocity in relation to the rights of the Serbs in Kosovo with the rights of the Albanians in the Presheva Valley is the "epicenter of the agreement" and as such it is included in the platform for dialogue.
"Reciprocity in the rights of Albanians in the Presheva Valley is another topic after the recognition of Kosovo in the dialogue with Serbia, it is the epicenter of the agreement," he said.
As for the tax, Limaj said that it is Kosovo's reaction to Serbia's behavior and the aggressive diplomatic campaign against Kosovo.

"The tariff does not represent the vision of Kosovo. We are for free trade, the market for the European vision for the free movement of goods and people, but the relations between Kosovo and Serbia are not normal", said Limaj.
"Serbia must fight for the market of Kosovo. It is impossible and unacceptable that from morning to night you work to dismantle this country and at the same time seek to have the market of this country at your disposal," he added. .
