The Assembly of Malisheva approves the budget, the opposition calls it "smuggled budget"

The Municipal Assembly of Malisheva, in an emergency session, approved the municipal budget for 2022 on Thursday, without the presence of the opposition in the meeting hall. 16 members of the Municipal Assembly voted in favor of the budget, 10 from the Social Democratic Initiative and 6 from other parties who supported the Initiative with their votes since the election of the Speaker of the Assembly, 3 from LDK, 2 from AAK and one from LVV (Guxo List).

The Mayor of the Municipality of Malisheva, during the presentation of the budget for 2022, announced that this municipality for this year has a budget of 15 million, 655 thousand and 757 euros, of which 4 million and 379 euros for capital investments.

He invited the members of the Central Committee to approve this budget so that "the work in the interest of the citizens of Malisheva starts as soon as possible".

The member of the KK from Nisma, Avdi Morina, drew attention to the fact that the budget was drawn up by the former municipal government and according to him the budget included most of the requests of the citizens with projects.

"The focus of this budget will be the main promise of the initiative, urban Malisheva", he emphasized.

Nebih Bibaj from the PDK has criticized the mayor and the ruling party, Nisma, for dealing with the budget in an emergency session. He said that the draft budget of the municipality was addressed to the members of the Assembly only a day ago and he expressed his belief that none of the members of the legislature "have the opportunity to even read it, let alone analyze it". Bibaj has asked to postpone this session for 7 days so that the members of the Assembly have the opportunity to analyze the draft and give their contribution in the regular session which according to him should be invited. Bibaj, but also some other members, have drawn attention to the fact that in the draft budget that they looked at cursorily, they also noticed completed projects.

Even Veton Zogaj from the LVV has requested the postponement of the session so that analyzes can be made and the opposition's contribution to the budget can be given. He said that the budget cannot be brought out in the session for treatment without any prior consultation.

E Labinot Gashi from the LDK said that the emergency session is making the contribution of the opposition about the budget impossible. He suggested to the mayor of the municipality that it is not good to approve the budget with smuggled votes, as he also called the votes of 3 colleagues from his party, including the chairman, calling them political realtors.

PDK's Bibaj saw the delay of about 40 minutes in the beginning of the session as a "bargain for a few meters of asphalt". After the proposal to postpone the session was not supported, the opposition left the meeting room, while the 16 members present voted the budget unanimously.
