Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti has not given an answer as to whether he, as a party, has secured the votes to approve the report of the Committee for the Verification of the Mandate of MPs and the Election of the Speaker of the Assembly, in the continuation of the constitutive session expected to be held tomorrow.
Asked by journalists, Kurti replied briefly: "It's tomorrow, right?", avoiding further comments.
He made this statement during his participation in the celebration of the Martyrs' Day of the Municipality of Pristina, where he took part in the symbolic blood donation campaign organized in "Zahir Pajaziti" Square.
On this occasion, he also paid tribute near the statue of the hero Zahir Pajaziti, laying flowers and honoring the memory of the nation's martyrs, Ekonomia Online reported.
The constitution of the Kosovo Assembly failed for the second time on Thursday. The chairman of the session, Avni Dehari, interrupted the session without putting the report of the Committee for the Verification of Quorum and Mandates to a vote, after saying that in the meeting he held with the representatives of the political parties, he saw that their positions had not changed.
He said that the session will continue in two days, on April 19 at 12:00. The leader of the LDK, Lumir Abdixhiku, spoke out against this interruption, accusing the Vetëvendosje Movement of blocking the session.
And the PDK's Memli Krasniqi has accused VV of trying to buy time in this way since it does not have a parliamentary majority.
Albulena Haxhiu from LVV insisted that they have enough votes, despite the fact that during today's session they did not put the first item on the agenda to a vote.
