Kurti: There is no letter or document for recognition from Togo

The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has said that the Government of Kosovo has not received any document, decision or letter from Togo for recognition.

Kurti was asked in the Assembly by PDK MP, Ariana Musliu Shoshi, regarding the statements of Togo's Foreign Minister, Robert Dussey, who said in Belgrade that Togo has withdrawn its recognition of Kosovo. Dussey had said this on January 16.

Then the Foreign Minister of Kosovo, Donika Gërvalla Sch]arz, reacted on Facebook, saying that Togo had withdrawn its recognition in 2019.

"We have not received a document from Togo. We have no indication, let alone a decision, to sever relations. International relations are not shrinking with all of Serbia's wild campaign. There is no document, no decision, no letter from Togo for recognition. It has neither come nor exists. We cannot influence the statements made in Belgrade by certain officials. But, from the official interstate, protocol point of view, this has no value", said Kurti.
