Kurti: Full reciprocity with Serbia repels international pressure on Kosovo

A negotiating team for principled dialogue, which will also be agreed with Brussels, has promised Albin Kurti, candidate of the Vetëvendosje Movement for prime minister.

If he receives the trust of the voters of Kosovo, Kurti has said that within the month they will issue a balance sheet for the 33 Brussels agreements from the six-year dialogue; will start the dialogue with the Serbs of Kosovo and the dialogue with Brussels for the negotiations with Serbia.

Regarding the options that imply a change of borders in the Balkans, the leader of the VV said that the idea is not dead, but he expressed his conviction that the project has failed.

In an interview given to "Koha Ditore", Kurti spoke about his approach in relation to the tax on goods originating from Serbia. Although the Vetëvendosje Movement campaigned for the boycott of Serbian goods, Kurti said that the 100 percent tariff was not their policy.

"We think that by establishing full reciprocity with Serbia, the international pressures and accusations made against us in the political, diplomatic, European and world arena will be repelled. But at the same time, we also show Serbia that it is not a matter of price, but of dignity and integrity", said Kurti, who has shown for which agreements reciprocity will be decided.

The leader of Vetëvendosje, who insisted on reaching a pre-election coalition, has said that they will no longer beg the LDK to create a government. Kurti has listed three mistakes to the entity that asked for a pre-election coalition, which he says make him wary of cooperation in the future.
