Kurti on possible elections in the spring: Are they talking about April 1?

The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has mocked the opposition's statements that the new parliamentary elections will be held in the spring of 2022.

At the press conference after the last meeting of the Government this year, Kurti asked that "it should not be about April 1", alluding to the day of lies.

"Those who disappointed the citizens and gave us the historic victory, continue to be disappointed with us who are governing now", said Kurti.

In this media conference, the first executive was praised for managing the pandemic and economic development. According to him, more than 60 percent of citizens over 18 years old are currently vaccinated.

Regarding economic development, he said that the growth is double-digit, with an increase in revenues and a decrease in government expenditures.

According to him, more than 10 jobs have been formalized this year.

Regarding the dialogue, Kurti said that they had only two meetings with the Serbian side, but according to him, "the negotiation process in Brussels was not useless".

"We reached agreement on reciprocity for license plates. Not only did we start at an important point, but it was accepted in Brussels. Beosj that it is well achieved. For the legally binding agreement, Serbia must change incomparably", he added.

Kurti has pledged that the referendum organized by Serbia will not be allowed to be held in Kosovo.

He thanked Albania for providing Kosovo with electricity for the end-of-year holidays.
