Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Deputy Prime Minister Donika Gërvalla have held a press conference at Pristina International Airport "Adem Jashari", on the first day of visa liberalization.
They also greeted the travelers who won the right to a trip to Austria through the quiz held by the European Union.
Prime Minister Albin Kurti said that last night after 00:00, the decision to liberalize visas came into force, removing an injustice that was done to Kosovo.
According to him, this morning could not have started better.
Kurti said that the wait has been long and the citizens have been deprived of many opportunities.
"This day is important. A great injustice is being removed and a great right is being gained. Along with it, our passport is also being strengthened. Strengthening our travel documents is strengthening our dignity as a country in the international arena. 50 citizens will travel to Vienna, they won this right as part of our information campaign. For the last time, congratulations on the liberalization of visas", he said.
Kurti has ordered that the requirements and criteria for travel abroad must be met.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Donika Gërvalla, said that everyone knows how much has been expected in front of the embassies.
"How much time has been wasted even in exile securing invitations. You know how much money was spent on documents and procedures. You know how undignified the waiting on the street was", she said.
