Prime Minister Albin Kurti, in an interview given to the British medium "Bloomberg" on Monday, said that he stands by the new Regulation of the Central Bank of Kosovo (CBK) for cash operations.
Kurti has said that his Government will not interfere in the decision of the Central Bank, which he has called independent in the implementation of its regulation, which came into force on February 1.
He added that ethnic Serbs will be given time to adapt to the new decision.
"We cannot reverse this decision. We will not have any kind of punitive measure - we do not want to punish anyone", he said.
He also spoke about the Brussels Agreement and the Ohrid Annex, saying that a signed agreement with Serbia is needed as soon as possible.
According to him, the current tensions would not have existed if there would have been de facto and de jure recognition of the entire region by Serbia, including Bosnia and Herzegovina.
