Kurti: I do not believe we should declare the efforts for an agreement over.

The leader of the LVV, Albin Kurti, has called on the leaders of other parties to resume talks on the presidential issue. He reiterated that the constitution without a political agreement for the president would lead to new elections. 

"We did not propose a name even though we have the votes for such a thing since any constitution without a political agreement that would guarantee a presence in the hall and a vote for the president would lead us to new elections. Therefore, our fair and useful insistence is that we sit down to talk, to come to an agreement and only from the height of a political agreement and from the breadth of an agreement between me as the chairman of LVV with the leaders of other parties to constitute the Assembly, the government and elect the president." 

Kurti has expressed his stance that he will continue with efforts for talks. 

"It makes no sense not to make an agreement, not to talk. In these last hours between the beginning of the session and the continuation of this session, I have had a meeting, I have written letters, and I do not believe that we should declare our efforts desperate or finished. We must continue to try because this is what the constitutionality requires."
