Today the chairman of Vetëvendosje Albin Kurti appeared at the Basic Prosecutor's Office to testify about the criminal complaint that he and the vice-chairman Glauk Konjufca made against the president Hashim Thaçi and the former speaker of the Assembly, Kadri Veseli.
Kurti and Konjufca, after almost 5 months, were invited with regular invitations to appear on Wednesday at the Basic Prosecutor's Office of Pristina as witnesses, KTV reports.
The chairman of Vetëvendosje, Albin Kurti, appeared at the Prosecutor's Office at 9 o'clock in the morning, and Konjufca is also expected two hours later.
The criminal offense written in the invitation with code 383 is a false declaration under oath, which Vetëvendosje officials claim that Thaçi and Veseli did during their testimony in the "Eye of the People" case.
In this case, Thaçi and Veseli claimed that Kurti and Konjufca are behind the organization "Syri i Populli".
According to the Criminal Code, this offense is punishable by a fine and up to 5 years of imprisonment.
