Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti has spoken about the Ibar Bridge issue, saying that Kosovo institutions are in constant communication with KFOR.
Kurti announced that this afternoon he will meet with the KFOR commander, Major General Ozkan Ulutash, to discuss the issue of opening the bridge.
"For taking control of the bridge, we are in communication with KFOR. I have a meeting at the Prime Minister's Office with Ulutash. So, we are in daily communication, both the Prime Minister's Office and the Ministry of Interior," Kurti said.
He added that after the construction of new bridges, it is pointless for the Ibar Bridge to continue to be closed.
"Pas ndërtimit të urave të reja, është bërë absurde që ajo urë të mbahet e mbyllur dhe fakti që qytetarët kanë qarkulluar lirshëm nëpër këto urat e reja dhe nuk ka shtim as të incidenteve e as tensioneve, tregon se qarkullimi i njerëzve dhe mallrave është e dobishme jo vetëm për ekonominë por edhe paqen dhe sigurinë", theksoi Kurti.
