KTV was founded after the liberation of Kosovo, when opportunities for growth and advancement opened up for the media scene. Following the ethical principles and professionalism of "Koha Ditore", Kohavisioni emerged as the most reliable television channel, where the work was performed by the younger generations.
This mission began in September 1990, with the weekly magazine "KOHA", founded by Veton SurroiAnd, 10 years later, negotiations with representatives of the American Government resulted in the greatest impetus for the establishment of two independent national television stations in Kosovo, one of which was KTV.
September 22, 2000 was the first day of an uninterrupted broadcast. The informative program, which still distinguishes KTV today, started with the leadership of the editor-in-chief Dukagjin Gorani and the director of the television was Tomor Binishi.
