The chief of Dyzi Prison, suspended for participating in the party where 50 bullets were fired, returns to work

The Disciplinary Commission of the Ministry of Justice assessed the participation of the acting director of the High Security Prison, Burim Buleshkaj, in a party during the pandemic as a minor violation. Buleshkaj has returned to work four weeks after the imposition of the measure of suspension against him.

In the party that was organized almost a month ago and when the measures to restrict the movement of citizens were in force, he was accompanied by family members of politicians and convicted persons. Two police officials were also seen at this party, who have also been suspended.

Buleshkaja's return to work has been confirmed for TIME by Nehat Thaçi, director of the Correctional Service.

"The case has been examined. The official was given a warning, that is, a minor administrative violation was found", Thaçi announced. He said that he is not aware of whether there is a criminal investigation against Buleshkaj.

About 50 bullets were fired at the party where the director of the prison in Dyz was also the protagonist.

The director of the Correctional Service, Nehat Thaçi, said that from the ballistic results it was established that the bullets were not fired from Buleshkaj's official weapon.

The analysis of the shells, as KOHA has informed, are not even of the weapons of the police officers, who are still suffering the measure of suspension.

"The bullets that were fired there from the results have turned out not to be from official police weapons," said this source.

The Director of the Kosovo Police, Rashit Qalaj, said that they are waiting for the recommendation of the Police Inspectorate of Kosovo.

"We still do not have a recommendation from the IPK. The moment the recommendation comes, we will take action", he said.

The head of the Special Units, Amir Gërguri, was also present at the party organized last month in Shala of Bajgora. In the company of a police officer and the director of the High Security Prison, Burim Buleshkaj, they were seen having fun with beer and appetizers. As the sources told TIME, but also from the photographs made public, the politicians' brothers, namely Hashim Thaçi and Rustem Mustafa, were with these state officials. It is suspected that nearly 50 bullets were fired during that party. The organization of gatherings during a pandemic is contrary to the decision on health emergency measures, namely the restriction of movement.

In addition to the officials of the Police and the Ministry of Justice, there were also other people at the "picnic", including Blerim Potera, known for justice. Potera has been convicted and, according to media reports, he was arrested three times last year. Even the Basic Court in Pristina has publicly said that Potera has a criminal past.

"The criminal procedure against BP was carried out in the Basic Court in Pristina, in the Department for Serious Crimes, where he was charged with the criminal offense of 'Slight Bodily Injury', from Article 188, par.1, subpar.1.1 of the KPRK and was sentenced to a fine in the amount of 600 euros", said Mirlinda Gashi, spokesperson of the Basic Court in Pristina.
