Vetëvendosje Movement MP Arbëreshë Kryeziu has said that there are MPs within the Kosovo Assembly who have privately told her that they would vote for the Vetëvendosje Movement's proposal, Albulena Haxhiu, for Speaker of Parliament if there was another way of voting.
Therefore, according to her, opposition political parties have come out against the secret ballot form as they fear that their MPs might vote differently.
"There are MPs who privately tell us that they would vote if they voted in a different way, and I think that this is precisely the reason why this process has been stopped today by political parties, because they are afraid of MPs who could vote differently," she said on Thursday on KTV's 'Interaktiv'.
Kryeziu added that these MPs face internal pressure from the political parties they belong to.
"I think that the exact reason why the secret ballot was not pushed forward today and was not well received by the opposition parties is because I believe that there is a fear that one of the deputies from these political entities could go and vote in favor and unblock the situation, but at the same time disrupt the plans of the political parties that they have. I suppose they have a plan that is keeping the Assembly blocked, otherwise if they had not had a plan they would not have kept it," she added.

When asked about the conversation between MP Glauk Konjufca and Gani Geci, the father of LDK MP Marigona Geci, in which former MP Konjufca asked Geci for his daughter's vote, Kryeziu said that he does not see it as normal for him to make a decision about his daughter's vote.
"You should call the father of that girl (MP Marigona Geci) and ask him if it is normal for you to make a decision on how your daughter will stand in the Assembly. From what we have seen in the past, it has been consistently seen that her father decides on how the daughter will stand in the Assembly. I do not think that there is a freedom within them for the discussion on such a decision to be made with Marigona before it is made with her father. I do not think that they have this freedom seeing how the MP in question has maintained her continuous positions in the Assembly. This has been communication that has become so big without any need at all. It has flowed quite naturally and it was not supposed to be made public nor to raise a discussion on public opinion about what happened between these two people," she said.
