The Pride Parade begins
The Pride Parade started on Saturday in Kosovo under the slogan "We have been and we will be".
Pride week started on June 3 and various activities were held during the week.
"The slogan 'We have been and we will be' is so small to describe our sense of pride, for what we are and for what we will achieve, where we will rise. Our existence is in our daily parade, in our defile in a place where colors often get in the way. Respecting our past, we want to look to the future. Silence has been our mechanism for too long, but not anymore. In the midst of challenges and difficulties, our spirits have remained empowered", says a communique of the organizations that organize the week, which serves as a demonstration for equality in LGBTIQ+ communities.
This is the eighth edition of Pride Week in Kosovo.
Pride Week is an outdoor event in which, through the celebration, a call is made for the acceptance of homosexual, bisexual, transgender and other people in society.
