Croatia supports the KSF

The Minister of the Kosovo Security Force, Haki Demolli, met on Friday in Split with the Minister of Defense of Croatia, Damir Krstiqević, with whom they discussed the advancement of friendly relations between the MFSK and the Ministry of Defense of Croatia.

Minister Demolli appreciated the role of Croatia as a member of NATO, saying that the role of the Ministry of Defense and the Croatian Armed Forces is extremely important for the rise, advancement and membership of Kosovo in regional initiatives and organizations and beyond of security.

Also, he stated that MFSK and KSF as two institutions for which the Republic of Kosovo is committed to advance in terms of mandate and duties, and given that for the transformation of KSF into Armed Forces, in addition to the will of internally, transparency is also needed for the process, as well as support from the strategic partners of Kosovo and countries such as Croatia, which has supported the KSF since its establishment and continues to be one of the countries that offers a lot of support, the communique says.

For his part, the Minister of Defense of Croatia, Damir Krstiqević, thanked Minister Demolli for the visit and expressed his readiness that the good bilateral relations between the two institutions and the two countries will be further advanced with even greater commitment and in the future.

During his visit to Croatia, Minister Demolli also met two non-commissioned officers of the KSF, who are there for training, Command Sergeant Major Xhevdet Mataj and Sergeant Major Rexhep Bytyqi.

Minister Demolli, accompanied by his military adviser, Colonel Fadil Hadergjonaj, is staying in Croatia, at the invitation of the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Croatia, Mr. Damir Krstiqević, and has participated in the 4th Defense and Aerospace Fair of Adriatic Sea (ASDA 2017), which was held in Split.
